Lucky me, the bike arrived in one piece and is now put together, the car I'm renting is big enough to hold it and my bike case for the next few days while I travel, and I'm learning how to at least eat and get by with the broken French-Spanish-English language I've invented over the past day or so!
What a beautiful country Switzerland is! I'm enjoying just the driving around and figuring out where to go. Yesterday when I got the car I tried learning the road map and figured forget it, I'll just start driving and figure out the signs as I go along. After a few wrong turns (but they lead me to some really sweet little villages), I'm learning.
I did my long run last night through the hilly city of Lausanne, Switzerland, where I ran along Lake Geneva and watched the crowds gather to watch the final World Cup game on a big screen on the beach - Awesome! There were people partying in the streets until 3am after the game.
My hotel is great, Hotel du Marche, and I'm heading down to swim a bit in Lake Geneva before I head toward France, find my hotel, and get in a looooong 6 hour ride - but I'm sure it will be beautiful!
I'll get some pictures up soon, just as soon as I figure out why my wireless doesnt like connecting to some of the wifi here!
